Position Overview

Superscript is seeking a dedicated and proactive IBA Accounts Technician to contribute significantly to the financial management of our insurance brokerage operations.

Reporting directly to the IBA Manager, this role presents an excellent opportunity to join a skilled and supportive finance team, enabling you to make a meaningful impact while delivering outstanding service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all accounting functions related to insurance brokerage.
  • Oversee client accounts payable and receivable, ensuring prompt and precise transaction processing.
  • Conduct regular reconciliations of client and insurer accounts (bordereaux), identifying and rectifying discrepancies as needed.
  • Leverage Excel for financial data analysis, report generation, and to aid in decision-making processes.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies, particularly those pertinent to the Lloyd's of London market.
  • Collaborate with the team to pinpoint opportunities for process enhancements and implement effective solutions.
  • Support the IBA Manager with various initiatives, including financial forecasting, budgeting, and audit preparations.

Candidate Profile:

  • Approximately 3+ years of experience in insurance brokerage accounting, preferably within the Lloyd's of London sector.
  • Strong grasp of accounts payable and receivable processes for insurers.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to solve problems independently and take initiative.
  • Skilled in collaborating with diverse stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • A collaborative team player who thrives in a cross-functional environment.
  • Knowledge of compliance requirements relevant to the insurance sector is highly advantageous.
