Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Registered General Nurse to become a vital member of our supportive and dynamic healthcare team.

You will collaborate with the general practice team to address patient needs and facilitate the delivery of high-quality healthcare services. Compensation is negotiable based on experience.

Full-time and part-time hours are available and can be discussed.

Key Responsibilities

As a Registered General Nurse, your primary responsibility will be to provide comprehensive nursing care to our diverse patient population. This role emphasizes the application of evidence-based practices for patients with chronic conditions, as well as the promotion of preventive healthcare measures.

Previous experience in general practice nursing and chronic disease management is required. The successful candidate will have a background in conducting chronic disease reviews, performing cervical smears, and administering immunizations.

Job Duties

- Deliver and uphold a high standard of nursing care for patients, while assisting physicians and other healthcare professionals as needed.

- Support the practice in meeting quality indicators and targets set forth by relevant healthcare frameworks.

- Conduct assessments for male, female, and family planning services, providing appropriate advice and referrals.

- Perform cervical screenings and promote awareness of breast health.

- Engage in accredited training for specific chronic disease management as required, including diabetes, respiratory conditions, epilepsy, and coronary heart disease.

- Contribute to the upkeep of disease registers within the practice.

- Offer guidance on lifestyle modifications, assisting patients in adopting healthier behaviors and making appropriate referrals.

  • Registered Nurse
  • Certified Smear Taker
  • Completed Core Immunization Training
