About the Role
Berkshire Healthcare Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Specialist Nurse to join our team. As a Senior Specialist Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to children and young people with ADHD.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans for children and young people with ADHD.
- Manage a caseload of children and young people with ADHD, providing ongoing support and guidance to families.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
- Develop and implement evidence-based interventions to support children and young people with ADHD.
- Provide education and training to families, carers, and healthcare professionals on ADHD and its management.
Requirements
- Registered professional qualification in Mental Health, Nursing (RMN) or Specialist Community Public Health Nurse or Certified School Nurse or Paediatric Nurse.
- Post-qualifying Child & Adolescent Mental Health training or qualifications in therapeutic approaches with children, young people, and families.
- Ability to manage clinical risk and understanding of child safeguarding procedures.
- Effective communication skills, written and verbal.
- Capable of coping in a pressurized environment and applying practical problem-solving skills in everyday situations.
