Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the entire plant product manufacturing operation, ensuring seamless execution and continuous improvement.
- Identify and implement innovative working practices, leveraging modern manufacturing philosophies, techniques, and systems to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve quality.
- Collaborate with other departments to create efficiencies in quality and delivery, fostering a strong team with a positive attitude within the manufacturing function.
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations, handling personally identifiable information with diligence.
- Recruit and train personnel to meet business needs.
- Manage the day-to-day running of the factory unit, ensuring smooth operations and effective resource allocation.
- Develop and maintain a production plan, ensuring sales orders and key stock levels are met, and productivity and quality performance targets are exceeded.
- Monitor and review the production plan to maintain or improve lead times.
- Optimise production and cost efficiencies, reducing costs wherever possible.
- Ensure the Company's Stock replenishment/Kanban system reflects current production capabilities, resulting in efficient purchasing and inventory management.
- Review and recommend cost reduction and production efficiency improvements, implementing changes as necessary.
- Manage and develop quality and health and safety systems, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
To be considered for this role, you must have previous experience as a Plant Manager or in a similar position. You will have experience in volume and small batch production in a semi-automated and manual environment.
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary and a generous benefits package, including 25 days' holiday.
Working hours for this role are Monday to Thursday, 7am-3pm.
