Position Overview
An exciting opportunity has emerged within the Dental Services department for a Clinical Support Coordinator to join a dedicated team, providing essential administrative assistance to Consultants and other clinical professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a team of administrative personnel to deliver a thorough administrative and support service to Consultants, Medical Staff, and Specialist Nurses.
- Engage with patients regarding their appointments and admissions as directed by medical personnel.
- Step in for the Team Leader when necessary.
- Provide coverage for Clinical Support Coordinator roles across the Trust as needed.
Essential Qualifications
- Level 3 qualification in administration or equivalent relevant experience in administrative roles.
- English qualification at Level 2 (GCSE Grades 9-4 or A*-C, or Functional or Key Skills at Level 2).
- Maths qualification at Level 1 (GCSE Grades 3-2 or D-F, or Functional or Key Skills at Level 1).
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in secretarial and administrative functions.
- Proficiency in IT, including MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Advanced keyboard skills with a high standard of word processing capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable Attributes
- Familiarity with NHS administrative systems and medical terminology.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Understanding of confidentiality and data protection.
