We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Research Professional to join our team at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Clinical Research Facility (CRF) Research Team, you will play a vital role in the delivery of clinical research at St. George's Hospital.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for the coordination and management of an agreed Gastroenterology clinical research portfolio at St George's Hospital NIHR CRF. You will work collaboratively with the research teams and wider multidisciplinary team in the management of your own caseload of clinical trials patients and be accountable for the achievement of local and national targets in relation to the service.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate study set-up and identify suitable patients through the process of MDT's/screening notes
- Collect data, interview, support, and monitor patients, and perform data entry
- Provide advice and information to patients, enabling them to make informed choices concerning their involvement in clinical trials
- Act as the patients' advocate
- Registered General Nurse with a valid NMC pin number
- For CRP: Registration on the Academy for Healthcare Science (AHCS) Clinical Research Practitioner Accredited Register, or working or willing to work towards
- Experience in Clinical Research
- Competent use of relevant software, specifically spreadsheets
- Experience in ECG's, spirometry, and phlebotomy
- Awareness of GCP, clinical research methodology, and treatment protocols
- Participation in clinical or nursing research
- Committed to Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
