Job Title: Mechanical Engineer - Structural Integrity

Westlakes Recruit is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Gloucester. As a Mechanical Engineer - Structural Integrity, you will be responsible for delivering projects in the nuclear sector, utilizing your expertise in structural integrity to ensure the safety and efficiency of our clients' operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing solutions with colleagues and customers to meet project requirements
  • Representing the business in technical meetings with clients and third parties
  • Interfacing with customers throughout the lifecycle of projects
  • Producing high-quality technical reports on project outcomes
  • Designing and analyzing complex structures and components
  • Verifying the work of other team members
  • Maintaining the technical capability and knowledge of the team
  • Delivering work to time, cost, and quality standards
Qualifications:
  • Chartered Engineer or Scientist in a relevant discipline
  • Degree-level education in mechanical engineering or a related field
  • Experience in structural integrity project delivery
  • Ability to respond to tender requests
  • Curiosity, questioning attitude, and analytical skills
