We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team at Laing O'Rourke's Centre of Excellence for Modern Construction (CEMC) in Steetley, Worksop, Nottinghamshire.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide strong financial controls and reporting, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cashflow performance.
- Submit budget/forecasts to Group and analyse business performance, providing explanations for variances.
- Take responsibility for balance sheet accounts, FAR & stock listings, ensuring reconciliations are undertaken on a monthly basis.
- Proactively identify and improve finance and business processes to ensure fast, accurate management information is available.
- Stay up-to-date with Accounting Standards and implement new accounting treatments where necessary.
- Understand business risks and strategies, and prepare and review supporting schedules for year-end audit.
- Travel occasionally required to other offices, with two direct reports - Accounts Clerks.
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Strong financial and analytical skills, with excellent IT skills - particularly Excel and PowerPoint, with Power BI an advantage.
- Experience using SAP, COINs, Tagetik, and Power BI.
- Experience working within a large manufacturing company.
