The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Front-End Developer to join our team, complementing our existing talent pool and contributing to the development of innovative digital solutions.

As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to explore new technologies, influence our ways of working, and drive best practices in front-end development.

We are looking for someone with a strong background in front-end technologies, a keen eye for design, and a passion for creating high-quality, responsive user experiences.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Collaborate with the front-end development team to implement web applications and integrate front-end and back-end components.
  • Develop and maintain code standards and guidelines for the front-end team.
  • Work closely with the UX/UI team to ensure a seamless user experience.
  • Advise on and drive best practices from both a UI and UX perspective on designs.
  • Optimize web applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members.

About You

We are looking for someone with extensive knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, and JavaScript, as well as experience working with major JS frameworks such as Vue, React, or Angular.

You should have a strong understanding of front-end web architecture, including accessibility requirements, and be proficient in setting up and configuring command-line task runners and package builders.

We value strong communication skills, excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, and a team-oriented approach.

Required Technical Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience working with one or more major JS frameworks (Vue, React, Angular).
  • Development of fully responsive, mobile-first, cross-browser front ends.
  • Ensuring UI components are compliant with accessibility requirements (AA and AAA).
  • Experience setting up and configuring command-line task runners and package builders such as Webpack or Gulp.
  • Working knowledge of Jira, Confluence, and BitBucket.
  • Experience integrating front ends with CMS-driven websites, particularly Umbraco, Kentico, or Sitecore.
  • Strong understanding of the front-end web architecture related to the above technologies.

Location & Travel Expectations

We are open to considering this position on a fully remote basis (UK-based only) or having you based near one of our offices (Bristol, London, or Lancaster) and working out of the office regularly or occasionally.
