Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mobile Plant Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Kelston Sparkes Group.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and proactive individual to take on a leadership role in our plant maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively undertake the maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of machinery within a geographical area, including hydraulic excavators, articulated haulers, wheeled loaders, dozers, rollers, crushers, and screens.
  • Workshop-based and mobile vacancies available.
  • Lead and mentor junior engineers and apprentices in plant maintenance and repair.
  • Communicate with managers to coordinate onsite requirements and breakdowns.
  • Compile required parts lists using manufacturers' platforms.
  • Take lead in complex multi-engineer tasks.
  • Work independently or as part of a team to achieve maintenance and repair objectives.

Requirements

  • NVQ level 3 plant maintenance or equivalent.
  • Product knowledge on Cat, Volvo, Finlay, Gipo, Metso.
  • Great diagnostic experience, electrical and hydraulic, aftertreatment.
  • Able to use manufacturers' diagnostic equipment.
  • IT literate.
  • Great attitude to Health and Safety.
  • Able to complete detailed risk assessments and method statements.
  • Hold Full Driving Licence.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Slinger/signaller.
  • MEWP.
  • Confined space training.
