Job Opportunity: SEN Teaching Assistant

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a thriving and aspirational SEND school in Leicester. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs, providing individualized support and creating a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to students with Special Educational Needs
  • Assist teachers in delivering lessons and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Support students with daily living skills, such as personal care and mobility
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure seamless support
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of the school's SEND strategy

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 Qualification in Education
  • Previous experience working as a learning support assistant
  • Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs
  • Driving License (preferred)
