Job Summary:

We are looking for a transportation planner with experience in logistics and fleet management to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning UK transport in a specialist sector, ensuring that logistics are efficient and cost-effective. The role involves cost-effective planning of all vehicle routes, maintaining a working knowledge of relevant legislation, and managing driver hours and resources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and optimize vehicle routes to ensure efficient and cost-effective logistics
  • Maintain a working knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations
  • Manage driver hours and resources to ensure adequate coverage
  • Communicate with third-party sub-contractors and stakeholders
  • Process departmental documentation and drivers' paperwork
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to queries in a timely manner
Requirements:
