In this role, you will be part of a facility that offers specialized care through low secure wards for young individuals and acute wards for adults. The emphasis in our services is on fostering close collaboration with families to ensure comprehensive support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide consultancy, clinical oversight, training, and management of clinical cases to develop innovative and effective services that comply with best practice standards and ensure high-quality care delivery.
- Operate independently while collaborating with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to establish and deliver a specialized Clinical Psychology service for patients.
- Conduct specialized Psychological Assessments and perform psychometric evaluations utilizing appropriate clinical tools.
- Lead MDT formulation meetings and deliver specialized interventions based on comprehensive formulations, adhering to established guidelines, research evidence, and collaborative MDT strategies.
- Continuously assess the risk levels of all patients under your care, ensuring acute risks are managed effectively, and maintain communication with the MDT, particularly the responsible psychiatrist, regarding risk management.
- Serve as the internal Care Coordinator for multiple patients.
- Participate in ward rounds, case discussions, and Care Programme Approaches (CPAs) as necessary, providing advance reports in line with local protocols.

Role Responsibilities
As the Senior Clinical Psychologist, you will provide leadership and guidance to the Psychology team, overseeing a variety of activities aimed at enhancing the quality of life for our service users and supporting their recovery journey. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading training, supervision, consultation, and therapeutic interventions, both in group settings and one-on-one.
- Ensuring the overall clinical leadership of the therapeutic team, which encompasses the development of clinical pathways and governance, as well as providing high-quality supervision for complex cases.
- Collaborating as a member of the Senior Management Team to oversee specialized psychological programs and the transdisciplinary team, offering supervision and expert consultation to ensure the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed care.
- Continuously evolving the in-house Psychology program, which currently incorporates various therapeutic approaches.
