About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Lead Nurse to join our team at European LifeCare Group. As a Clinical Lead Nurse, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our vaccination programmes, working closely with our clinical staff to deliver high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Programme Compliance: Ensure that our vaccination programmes are compliant with CQC guidance and regulations, maintaining high clinical standards at all times.
  • Staff Support: Provide regular support and supervision to our clinical staff, ensuring they are working within our policies and standards.
  • Safeguarding: Address safeguarding concerns raised by staff, escalating to the Clinical Director as necessary and attending quarterly supervision sessions.
  • Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all formal and informal clinical supervision, staff training, and recruitment, as well as incidents and complaints.
  • CQC Inspections: Attend CQC inspections as required, ensuring our organisation is prepared and compliant.
  • Performance Development: Conduct annual performance development reviews for clinical staff, assessing clinical competencies and ensuring they undertake comprehensive clinical inductions.
  • Training and Support: Document training and support sessions according to our standards and requirements.
  • Incident Reporting: Work with Senior Management to ensure accurate recording of clinical incidents and complaints, allocating investigating officers and completing outcome forms.
  • Organisational Learning: Act as a liaison with Senior Management to ensure organisational learning and patient safety are optimised.
  • Staff Recruitment: Assist in recruiting nursing staff and allocating mentors for new staff, undertaking the induction process for new employees.
  • Formal Supervision: Plan and implement formal clinical supervision sessions with immunisation nurses at a minimum interval of every three months.
Requirements
  • Registration: Nurses and Midwives currently registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
  • Qualification: Nursing and/or Midwifery Qualification.
  • Professional Development: Evidence of ongoing professional development.
  • PGD Frameworks: Working within PGD frameworks.
  • Safeguarding Training: Safeguarding trained.
  • Immunisation: Immunisation essential.
  • Leadership: Managerial / Leadership experience.
  • IT Skills: Good IT Skills.
  • Communication: Excellent communication both written and verbal.
  • Organisational Skills: Excellent organisational, time-management and record keeping skills.
  • Teamwork: Assertive, team player and critical thinker.
  • Competence: High levels of competence, judgement, integrity, personal and professional accountability.
