Job Overview
As part of the ongoing expansion within Renishaw's Spectroscopy division, we are looking for a dedicated Raman Application Scientist to join our UK applications team. This position offers a unique opportunity to deepen your expertise in Raman spectroscopy and its diverse applications alongside industry-leading professionals. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of specialists, this role emphasizes both technical sales support and the development of scientific instruments and applications. The ideal candidate will thrive in a customer-facing environment, demonstrating strong communication skills and the ability to proactively identify and address customer challenges.
This position is particularly suited for individuals transitioning from academia to a commercial setting while remaining engaged in scientific endeavors, providing ample opportunities for career advancement.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist the sales team by showcasing the capabilities and performance of Renishaw's Raman instruments through live demonstrations and local seminars.
- Explore and develop new applications for Raman spectroscopy, sharing findings at international conferences.
- Provide training and support to customers.
- Create scientific content for marketing materials, including videos, webinars, and written documentation.
- Collaborate with design teams to innovate Raman instrumentation.
Essential Qualifications
- Degree or PhD in a science-related field.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Hands-on experience with Raman spectroscopy and data analysis.
- Passion for promoting Raman spectroscopy on a global scale.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
- Possession of a valid passport and willingness to travel internationally up to four weeks per year.
- Valid UK driving license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the scientific instrument sales process.
- Familiarity with scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and/or atomic force microscopy (AFM).
