Quality Assurance Analyst

Head Resourcing is proud to collaborate with a prominent provider in the pensions and mutuals sector. We are in search of a Quality Assurance Analyst to strengthen our software development lifecycle through effective testing methodologies.

Role Summary: The Quality Assurance Analyst will be responsible for designing, executing, and automating test scenarios, working in close partnership with project teams to grasp system specifications. Key duties include reporting defects, maintaining documentation, and liaising with developers and product managers to ensure prompt resolution of issues. The position also emphasizes the enhancement of testing practices, tools, and techniques.

Core Responsibilities:

Framework Expertise:

  • Comprehend and implement applicable standards, methodologies, and tools.
  • Collaborate with business units to guarantee effective utilization of the testing framework.

Automation and Tools:

  • Leverage systems and tools to boost testing efficiency and mitigate risks.
  • Work alongside IT and business teams to refine automation processes.

Test Strategy Formulation:

  • Evaluate project requirements to create thorough test strategies.
  • Validate risk levels with key stakeholders.

Execution of Testing:

  • Provide updates to stakeholders regarding testing activities, progress, and potential risks.
  • Conduct tests according to established plans and collaborate with colleagues to address defects.

Promoting a Shift Left Culture:

  • Encourage early and efficient testing practices to minimize manual efforts.
  • Guide teams in adopting a proactive approach to testing.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related discipline.
  • ISTQB certification or equivalent is advantageous.
