Job Overview

STR Group is seeking a highly skilled Process and Product Development Engineer to join our team in the role of Mechanical Project Engineer. As an Industrialization and NPI Specialist, you will play a critical part in the development and implementation of cutting-edge technologies that support critical global infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and optimize prototype parts and assemblies to ensure efficient and compliant production.
  • Develop and implement assembly procedures and tooling to support the industrialization of high-reliability submerged products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Define and procure tooling and equipment to meet development and production plans.
  • Develop and maintain build specifications for new and existing products.
  • Analyze and improve production processes to ensure efficiency and quality.
  • Conduct process audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a technical or manufacturing environment, with a focus on process development and implementation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with ISO9001/TL9000, Lean, and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Familiarity with HSE, PUWER, LOLER, and HSE Regulations.
