About the Role:
We are seeking talented Automation Engineers to enhance our operational efficiency at Ocado Logistics. Our Customer Fulfilment Centre operates around the clock, and your role will be pivotal in maintaining seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform both scheduled and emergency maintenance to ensure our sophisticated machinery and systems are always in optimal condition.
- Collaborate with Inbound, Outbound, and support teams to improve machine reliability and overall performance.
- Quickly diagnose and resolve equipment failures to minimize operational downtime.
- Utilize data analysis to develop innovative solutions that enhance our automation capabilities.
- Maintain the highest safety standards during all maintenance tasks and inspections.
About You:
- Proven technical knowledge in automation hardware and software, ideally within a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment. Relevant qualifications may include HNC Engineering, applicable degrees with practical experience, Engineering Technician Apprenticeship, Manufacturers PLC training, and NVQ Level 3 in electrical and/or mechanical disciplines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with team members and other departments.
- Able to perform hands-on engineering tasks in a physically demanding setting.
