Senior Investment Risk Analyst

Are you an experienced expert in investment risk and valuation? Barclay Simpson is looking for a Senior Investment Risk Analyst to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and managing risks associated with various alternative asset classes, such as Private Credit, Private Equity, Infrastructure, and Real Estate.

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience: Over 7 years in investment risk management and valuation within the Asset Management sector.
  • Sector Knowledge: Proficient in Private Equity, Direct Debt, Leveraged Finance, Distressed Investments, Infrastructure Lending, and/or Commercial Real Estate.
  • Regulatory Acumen: Knowledge of FCA regulations pertaining to Risk Management and Valuation.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Certifications: CFA, FRM, and/or CAIA preferred.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute risk management and valuation strategies.
  • Continuously monitor and assess portfolio risks.
  • Oversee valuation evaluations of intricate investments.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with clients, fund administrators, auditors, and valuation professionals.
  • Assist in the onboarding of new funds.
  • Utilize financial models for comprehensive valuation analysis.
  • Report findings to Senior Management and regulatory bodies.
  • Prepare and deliver valuation reports to stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development of proposals, presentations, and analytical papers.
  • Conduct thorough research on clients, sectors, markets, and competitors.
