About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team at Oulton Manor, a luxury residential care home in Leeds. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering a high-quality catering service to our residents, ensuring their dietary needs are met and their experience is exceptional.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve meals to residents, adhering to health, safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety procedures.
  • Minimize food waste and ensure efficient use of kitchen equipment.
  • Escalate any concerns or issues to the Chef Manager.

Requirements

  • Level 2 food safety certificate.
  • Knowledge of health and safety procedures, including COSHH.
  • Previous catering experience, with knowledge of basic food safety and safe use of knives and kitchen equipment.
  • Experience working with older people.
