Quality Assurance and Workplace Manager

AWE is a leading organization in nuclear weapons research and development, providing counter-terrorism and nuclear threat reduction solutions to the UK government. We are seeking a skilled Workplace and Assurance/Quality Manager to join our Skills Academy team.
The successful candidate will work closely with corporate operations personnel, instructors, and apprentices to provide skilled craft personnel to the business. Key responsibilities include:
- Line and project management of an academy team and activities, ensuring the provision of high-quality apprenticeships.
- Assuring our work and training, maintaining and promoting high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security, and quality.
- Development and performance management of direct reports, providing expert knowledge of ESFA compliance requirements.
- Supervising and supporting administrators on management information related tasks.
We are looking for a candidate with:
- Appropriate professional training qualification or equivalent.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage with a range of audiences.
- Strong influencing skills to ensure the appropriate learning opportunities and development of individuals.
- Expert coaching skills and ability to inspire confidence in others.
- Able to work with a diverse range of people and grades across the business, particularly young people.
