Job Title: 2nd Line Support Engineer

Location: Portsmouth, UK

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum

Hours: Full-time (40 hours/week), 08:30 - 17:30

Holiday Allowance: 22 days + Bank Holidays

Role Overview:

We are seeking a talented and experienced 2nd Line Support Engineer who can not only solve technical issues but also take part in project work and lead from the front. The successful candidate will be expected to be a role model for the up-and-coming service desk staff.

  1. Provide second-line technical support to our client base
  2. Manage and resolve incidents and requests submitted via telephone, email, and online
  3. Participate in project work, implementing IT solutions and services
  4. Deliver technical mentoring and coaching to 1st line support colleagues
  5. Liaise with 3rd line support or external vendors when necessary
  6. Ensure the smooth operation of client IT infrastructure

Essential Skills and Experience:

  1. Proven experience in a 2nd line support role, must have experience in a MSP environment.
  2. Strong knowledge of 365/Intune administration and SharePoint.
  3. Heavy experience in networking configuration.
  4. Experience with Windows endpoint management and Intune.
  5. Must have a full driving licence and car.
