Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Children's Nurse to join our team as a Senior Nurse in Children's Complex Care. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic and motivated team, providing expert clinical care and advice to children and families with complex healthcare needs.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care to children and young people with complex healthcare needs, including those requiring long-term ventilation. You will work closely with the Clinical Lead to develop and implement clinical pathways across acute and primary care settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical care and advice to children and families with complex healthcare needs
  • Develop and implement clinical pathways across acute and primary care settings
  • Work closely with the Clinical Lead to develop and improve the quality of practice and service delivery
  • Carry out and support audits to demonstrate effectiveness
  • Identify training requirements for the Children's Complex Care service
  • Ensure assessments, planning, and delivery of holistic care are at the highest standard using an agreed nursing model
  • Support equality and diversity in all working relationships
  • Liaise with and work in collaboration with acute services, primary healthcare teams, and other agencies
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Registered Children's Nurse (RSCN) or Registered Nurse (RN) Child Branch qualification
  • Recent post-basic training
  • Community Children's Nursing qualification degree level or willingness to undertake
  • ENB 998 (Teaching & Assessing in Clinical Practice) or equivalent
  • Clinical assessment course/Advanced Nurse Practitioner
