About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled nurse to join our team as a Band 6 sister/charge nurse in our acute orthopaedic ward. As a senior nurse, you will be responsible for leading a team of nurses and providing clinical leadership to ensure high-quality patient care.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of nurses in providing high-quality patient care
  • Assist the Senior Sister in managing the ward and ensuring smooth operations
  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to junior staff members
  • Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures
  • Contribute to the development of the ward's strategic plan
Requirements
  • Registered Adult Nurse on the NMC register
  • Substantial post-registration experience working in a complex healthcare setting
  • Evidence of professional/clinical knowledge in the area of orthopaedic care
  • Ability to lead and manage a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
