Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Corporate Planned Care Administrator to become a vital member of the Corporate Planned Care Team.

The role requires a commitment of 5 days per week; Monday to Friday, with flexible working hours to be determined during the interview process.

The ideal candidate will possess:

A solid educational background, including GCSE or equivalent qualifications in English and Mathematics. NVQ Level 2 or comparable experience in a relevant field. Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel, along with strong typing skills. Prior experience in an administrative or secretarial capacity. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Capability to perform under pressure and adhere to deadlines. Skills to foster positive working relationships.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be tasked with the efficient locating and tracking of patient case notes, which are essential for the Corporate Planned Care Team's validation and audit activities.

Additionally, the post-holder will assist the Corporate Planned Care Validators and Team Leaders in maintaining essential elective care validation reports, procedures, and audits, adhering to established Standard Operating Procedures to update specific information within the hospital's Patient Administrative System. Communication with the public via telephone regarding their care pathways will also be a key aspect of this role.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) with a focus on Mathematics and English. NVQ Level 2 or relevant experience in a similar role.

Desirable

ECDL certification.

Knowledge and Experience

Essential

Understanding of confidentiality protocols within a healthcare environment. Experience in an administrative or secretarial role.

Desirable

Familiarity with Medway PAS/hospital systems. Knowledge of NHS data standards and data quality considerations.

Skills

Essential

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel. Strong keyboard skills. Good numeracy and literacy capabilities. Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Desirable

Competence in data verification to ensure accuracy in data entry.

Personal Skills

Essential

Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly in liaising with other teams to locate urgent patient notes. Ability to cultivate positive working relationships.
