Regional Sales Director

Your primary focus will be on direct sales activity, following up on leads generated by marketing, initiating local marketing activity, and actively sourcing new business opportunities through external agents and introducers.
This is a field-based role, requiring travel across Yorkshire to meet customers face-to-face and support the development of your team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Proactively source sales across the Yorkshire region by directly prospecting the existing customer base, sourcing new customers, and through dealer introducers
* Negotiate terms of agreement and close sales, gathering market and customer information
* Represent the company at trade exhibitions, events, and demonstrations
* Coach and train Area Managers to ensure they are fully equipped to do their jobs, managing their performance and ensuring they achieve agreed-upon targets
* Maintain a full comprehension of all finance products offered by Close Brothers Asset Finance, as well as associated add-on products
* Work closely with the Collections team, maintaining a satisfactory level of defaults within your own and your team's portfolio
* Ensure that all Governance and Compliance requirements are adhered to and all reporting and reviewing activities required by the Regulatory Bodies are carried out to the standards required
Requirements:
* Proven track record of delivering sales in the Asset Finance Industry
* Self-motivated and driven to achieve and exceed set targets
* Proactive, go-getting person with a strong desire to succeed
* Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships both internally and externally
* Successful track record of planning and organizing effective sales activity
* Excellent communicator with a direct and open style
* Passion and drive for generating revenue, with evidence of 'going the extra mile' coupled with strong client focus and a flexible and resilient attitude
Nice to Have:
* Direct experience in the Construction and Recycling sectors
* Experience of managing a team, either directly or indirectly mentoring and coaching sales people
