About the Role

We are seeking a Governance Support Officer to join our team, working closely with our senior leadership team, trustees, Star Central staff, schools and governors, and other stakeholders. The successful candidate will provide an efficient governance support and advice service that meets statutory and regulatory compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support our trust or school committees by providing governance support and advice.
  • Manage and prioritise competing demands and deadlines.
  • Work closely with our senior leadership team, trustees, Star Central staff, schools and governors, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide an efficient governance support and advice service that meets statutory and regulatory compliance requirements.

Requirements

  • An A Level/NVQ qualification Level 3 (or equivalent).
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to be proficient in editing documents with the ability to correct spelling, punctuation and grammatical errors; ensuring clear formatting and presentation.
  • The ability to manage your own workload effectively.
  • An awareness and interest in academy/corporate governance and the need to ensure regulatory needs are met.
