Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our team at NELFT North East London Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Integrated Community Team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient-centred care and contributing to service development.

Main Responsibilities

As an Occupational Therapist, you will work closely with community nurses, community matrons/care coordinators, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation assistants to maintain independence, promote self-care, and assist patients in achieving their goals. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing patient needs and developing personalized care plans
  • Providing therapy sessions to patients with physical conditions, including neurological, orthopaedic, falls, long-term conditions, and musculoskeletal issues
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Supervising junior staff and students as needed

Person Specification

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist with:

  • Experience of working at B5/B6 level
  • Previous NHS experience
  • Qualifications in Occupational Therapy or equivalent
  • HCPC registration

Desirable qualifications include experience in community rehabilitation, ordering and assessment of equipment needs, supervision of junior staff/students, and multi-professional team working.
