Position Title: Cockpit Systems Support Specialist
Contract Duration: 6 months
Notice Period: 1 month
Work Arrangement: Woking, UK, 5 days per week
Security Clearance Requirement: BPSS
Role Purpose:
As a Cockpit Systems Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the evaluation and assistance of all cockpit electronic systems. This encompasses the formulation of test cases and procedures, as well as the execution of manual tests with a strong emphasis on troubleshooting issues in current production vehicles.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive and detail-oriented team player, demonstrating exceptional diligence and a positive mindset. The dynamic development environment and tailored target platform present a stimulating challenge for an engineer who can swiftly acquire new skills and collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive test specifications for all cockpit electronic systems.
- Facilitate the integration of cockpit systems with the overall vehicle framework.
- Provide updates on ongoing activities, software, hardware status, and issues at a business level.
- Conduct tests on client vehicles with the latest series implementations and modifications.
- Assist in diagnosing and analyzing the root causes of software and hardware failures.
- Document bugs and generate test reports.
- Lead issue resolution (QCR) with hardware and software vendors.
- Take ownership of resolving issues in current production vehicles.
- Support SAP tasks and tools implementation within the team.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Several years of experience in the development and delivery of mechanical, electrical, or electronic systems for automotive applications.
- Familiarity with the systems development lifecycle (V Model), including writing system requirements, defining test cases, and creating test procedures.
- Proven experience in production support and the ability to assist the vehicle production line.
- Experience in project management utilizing risk management techniques.
- Knowledge of CAD, component packaging, and assembly processes.
- Understanding of 'A-Surface' interactions and quality perception concepts.
- Ability to produce formal documentation to a professional standard.
- Proficient in the creation and maintenance of DFMEAs.
- Organized and systematic with a strong understanding of fault-finding processes.
- Knowledge of CAN/LIN/Ethernet and related tools such as CANoe/CANalyzer is essential.
- Familiarity with issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Mantis, Bugzilla).
- Bachelor's or Master's degree (preferably 1st or upper 2nd) in Electronic/Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Telecommunications, Software Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

- A passion for the automotive sector, technology, and/or cockpit electronics is advantageous but not mandatory.
