Field Services Technician

Pin Point Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Field Services Technician to join a reputable manufacturing firm. This organization, known for its rich heritage and commitment to excellence, specializes in delivering premium food products on a global scale.

In the role of Field Services Technician, you will play a crucial part in ensuring optimal plant operations, troubleshooting site service issues, and supporting the company's objectives through effective maintenance practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the upkeep of essential facility systems including boilers, cooling towers, effluent treatment systems, compressors, and both mechanical and electrical apparatus.
  • Provide insightful technical assessments and solutions for daily operational challenges.
  • Participate in team meetings to propose recommendations and actionable plans.
  • Execute maintenance tasks on various equipment.
  • Engage in initiatives aimed at continuous improvement.
  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) protocols.
  • Support project efforts and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Manage emergency response activities for incidents such as fire alarms or chemical spills.
  • Effectively communicate the implications of operational challenges and implement controls to avert future occurrences.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a technical engineering setting.
  • Relevant engineering qualification or apprenticeship.
  • Understanding of steam boiler operations, preferably BOAS trained.
  • Experience within a utilities context.
  • Familiarity with wastewater treatment processes.
  • Expertise in maintenance and installation within hazardous environments.
