Group Financial Reporting Lead

Job Summary:

This is a challenging role within the External Reporting team in Group Finance, responsible for producing external quarterly results releases and the Annual Report. The team works closely with technical accounting, consolidation, and statutory reporting teams, and has good exposure to senior stakeholders and visibility over interesting matters within the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of discrete processes and disclosures associated with group financial publications.
  • Liaise with external auditors on their audit of our consolidated group financial statements and internal controls.
  • Contribute to quarterly Audit Committee and Board papers on financial performance and reporting matters.
  • Lead on production of ancillary financial reports and pro forma publications.

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience.
  • External reporting experience including annual reports and financial statements within a listed company or audit firm.
  • Process improvement and transformation experience.
  • Experience producing or reviewing IFRS financial statements.
  • Experience of audit planning and procedures.
  • Experience of SAP consolidation and financial reporting systems – preferred.
