Key Responsibilities:- Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' medical, social, and emotional needs, and develop individualized care plans to meet their unique requirements.
- Medicines Management: Administer medications, set up syringe drivers, and provide IV medication as needed, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of treatment.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with Specialty Doctors, therapy staff, volunteers, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care and achieve the best possible outcomes for patients.
- Quality Governance: Maintain high standards of care delivery by adhering to regulatory body standards and the NHS Quality Governance Policy.
- Leadership and Ambassadors: Act as an ambassador of the NHS, promoting a positive image of the organization and its values to patients, relatives, colleagues, and the public.
- Technical Skills: Possess a good general knowledge of computer-based systems, including SystmOne, and maintain accurate records in line with policies and procedures.
- Education and Support: Support students on placement at the hospice, providing guidance and mentorship to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
