Grounds Maintenance Operative

HL Services (London) Ltd is a prominent name in the landscaping industry, known for delivering exceptional outdoor solutions tailored to various client needs. We are currently on the lookout for a dedicated Grounds Maintenance Operative to enhance our team.

Position Overview:

This role encompasses a wide array of services, from extensive landscaping projects to routine maintenance. The ideal candidate will engage in soft landscaping activities and upkeep following the completion of projects.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Expertise in soft landscaping practices, including planting and turf management.
  • Competence in using equipment such as hedge trimmers and lawn care machinery.
  • Must be located within a practical commuting distance.
  • Capability to work autonomously and efficiently on individual assignments.
  • Willingness to accommodate flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Completion of daily administrative tasks and maintenance of tools and vehicles.
  • Compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Experience and Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 10 years in the field of soft landscaping or grounds upkeep.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Having a CSCS card is a plus.
  • Relevant qualifications in Horticulture or a similar discipline.
Personal Attributes:
  • Dependable and industrious.
  • Meticulous and organized.
  • Strong planning skills and initiative.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Standard working hours from Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.
  • 28 days of annual leave, inclusive of public holidays.
  • Overtime compensation for evening and weekend work.
  • Uniform and personal protective equipment provided by the company.
