Job SummaryHL Services (London) Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team. As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for maintaining the grounds and soft landscaping of our clients' properties.
Key Responsibilities- Soft landscaping skills of a high standard, including planting, turfing, and other related tasks.
- Experience with the use of machinery, such as hedge cutters, strimmers, and rotary lawn mowers.
- Reside within a reasonable travelling distance of our premises in Chelmsford, Essex.
- Work independently using your own initiative, with sole working required for many of our contracts.
- Perform out-of-hours working, including nights and weekends, as required.
- Complete daily record paperwork, highlighting any future requirements.
- Maintain the company's works vehicle and ensure all equipment is present and operational.
- Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed.
- Develop good people skills.
- A minimum of 10 years' previous employment within the soft landscaping/grounds maintenance industry.
- A current driving license.
- A CSCS card (preferable but not essential).
- NQV level 4/5 or RHS Qualification or City and Guilds in Horticulture.
- PA1/PA6 (preferable but not essential).
- On-site hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.
- 28 days' holiday per year (including bank holidays).
- Overtime rates will apply for night and weekend working.
- Company uniform and all PPE supplied.
This is a progressive role within a rapidly expanding division of our company. It will allow the successful candidate the opportunity to gain qualifications and skills that will increase their earning capacity and the potential to develop a successful career within the soft landscaping industry.
