Financial Planning Specialist - Leading Wealth Management Organisation

At mbf, we are seeking an experienced Financial Planning Specialist to join our team in Glasgow to manage and develop a high net worth client portfolio.

The Role:

As a Financial Planning Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in delivering expert financial planning advice to a diverse range of clients. You'll be responsible for analyzing their goals and creating tailored solutions to meet their needs.

This role involves managing an existing client base while actively seeking opportunities to expand it through business development initiatives and networking. You will ensure client satisfaction by providing ongoing advice, maintaining client suitability, and adhering to regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop relationships with a portfolio of clients, providing continuous support and advice.
  • Engage in business development to attract new clients, leveraging both internal and external networks.
  • Deliver comprehensive financial planning solutions, particularly in complex and higher-risk areas.
  • Provide guidance to paraplanning and administration teams, ensuring high standards and timely task completion.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and company policies to maintain compliance.

What We're Looking For:

  • A minimum Level 4 qualification, ideally progressing towards the CII Level 6 Advanced Diploma or equivalent.
  • Maintenance of SPS in line with professional body requirements.
  • Prior experience as a Financial Planning Specialist, whether newly qualified or more experienced.
  • Deep knowledge of financial planning, client advice, and complex advisory areas.
  • Understanding of financial markets, risk management techniques, and regulatory frameworks.
