The position offers a hybrid working arrangement, with three days in the office and two days working remotely.

As a Foreign Rights Assistant, you will closely support the Head of Foreign Sales in facilitating the sale of publishing rights for a varied collection of books to international markets.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Drafting and managing sales contracts and preparing promotional materials
  • Coordinating co-edition projects
  • Responding to inquiries from international publishers
  • Providing administrative assistance to the foreign sales department, including maintaining a database of foreign rights information and contacts
  • Overseeing contract processing and tracking royalties
  • Assisting in the organization of book fairs and occasional attendance

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive, confident, and dynamic individual eager to learn about the publishing industry, particularly in the realm of foreign rights. The ideal candidate may be a recent graduate seeking their first role in the field, possessing some administrative experience and strong IT skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential, and fluency in a foreign language (preferably French, Spanish, or Italian) is advantageous, though not mandatory.
