Position Overview

This role is a fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.

Applicants must secure approval from their current line manager before applying for this position.

Note for Welsh students: Applications should be submitted through Streamlining, where all available positions can be found.

This rewarding opportunity is ideal for a Registered Nurse dedicated to providing exceptional care to patients admitted to the Oncology, Haematology, and Palliative care sectors within the Alaw Unit. While experience in these specialized fields is preferred, it is not a prerequisite. The successful candidate will acquire comprehensive knowledge regarding the management of patients undergoing chemotherapy, alongside skills to ensure nursing care is delivered to the highest standards.

This position will primarily be based in a day unit.

Main Responsibilities

The selected candidate will rotate within the unit, covering the inpatient ward, Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatment Unit, and Alaw Assessment Unit to gain extensive knowledge across all areas. However, the primary focus will be on the Alaw day unit.

Proficiency in Welsh is advantageous for this role; applications are welcome from both Welsh and English speakers.
