About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic SEN Support Worker to join our team and support a young person with Cerebral Palsy and ADHD.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide after-school support to the child, promoting their independence and self-help skills.
  • Implement the child's therapy programme, with guidance and training from their therapist.
  • Support the child with personal care and toilet training.
  • Plan fun and educational activities to support the child's overall development.
  • Provide 2:1 support when out in the community, with the child's parent or another team member.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years' childcare experience.
  • Previous experience supporting a young person with ADHD.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient and confident approach.
About the Child

Adam is a 10-year-old boy with Cerebral Palsy and ADHD. He is mobile and uses a wheelchair for longer distances. He is an extremely capable young person and is excited to work with his new SEN Support Worker to develop his independence skills.
