Job Title: SEN Learning Support Assistant

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our team in a school setting.

Job Type:

Temporary, with potential for permanent position

£83.85 - £85 Per day

Benefits:

£50 referral fee

Job Duties:
  • Provide individualized support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to facilitate their access to the curriculum
  • Implement tailored education plans under the guidance of the SENCO
  • Assist with personal care needs of students as required
  • Support the emotional and social development of students
  • Contribute to creating a safe and inclusive learning environment
Required Qualifications:
  • Experience working with individuals with SEN
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Education:

Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths

Experience:

Prior experience in a similar role within an educational setting

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Understanding of SEN requirements and strategies
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
  • First Aid certification
Working Conditions:
  • Work within a school setting
  • Potential exposure to challenging behaviors
  • Regular interaction with students, teachers, and parents

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, with the option to make it permanent at a later date.
