About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Business Manager to join our team at NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership. As a key member of our Frontline Procurement Team, you will play a critical role in delivering patient-centred services across Wales.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with business needs and deliver value for money.
  • Manage complex procurement projects, including tendering, specification writing, and contract management.
  • Supervise and manage a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Contribute to business planning processes, including strategic sourcing, performance improvement, and EU procurement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address procurement-related issues and opportunities.
Requirements
  • Qualified to CIPS Level 5 (Advanced Diploma) or equivalent CIPS Knowledge / Experience.
  • ILM Level 4 or other management qualifications.
  • Proven experience of delivering complex procurement projects and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience of people / staff supervision / management, preferably in a procurement or supply environment.
  • Demonstrate experience of contributing to business planning processes and delivering value for money.
