Position Overview

Job Title: Residential Tenancy Case Advisor

Location: Remote

Compensation: £32,000-£45,000 D.O.E + Performance Bonus

Core Responsibilities:

The Residential Tenancy Case Advisor will be tasked with executing all phases of legal proceedings on behalf of clients, alongside any additional legal responsibilities that fall within their qualifications.

Key Duties:

  • Oversee cases throughout all phases of the litigation process, including engaging legal counsel for trial preparation when necessary.
  • Reach out to clients post-notice expiration to assess the need for claim drafting.
  • Draft eviction claims and other essential documents, including witness statements.
  • Prepare cases for court appearances, which involves liaising with clients and defendants, compiling case bundles, and creating briefs for advocates.
  • Track case directives, tasks, and deadlines, including monitoring Possession Claims Online (PCOL).
  • Contact clients following the issuance of possession orders and prepare bailiff applications as required.
  • Maintain accurate records for billing and data management, providing regular updates to the Management Team (Legal).
  • Engage with clients towards the conclusion of cases to discuss outcomes and suggest additional company services.
  • Utilize the case management system for all tasks and propose enhancements to existing processes.
  • Achieve company-defined billing objectives.
  • Assist in onboarding new clients and responding to inquiries as needed.
  • Provide further assistance and support as directed by the Management Team (Legal).

Knowledge and Professional Development:

  • Stay informed about the latest legal updates and trends in the property sector.
  • Represent the company at legal seminars, trade exhibitions, and other relevant events.
  • Contribute to the development of marketing and website content.

Personal Accountability:

  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.

  • Complete all assigned regulatory training within the specified timeframes each year.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • Background in legal/property with experience in landlord and tenant evictions.
  • Strong command of the English language with proven ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally.
