Cititec Talent is collaborating with a leading global trading firm in search of a Cloud Platform Specialist. This position focuses on the support and enhancement of a complex data and analytics infrastructure hosted on AWS. The platform is designed to meet the data and analytical requirements of traders, research professionals, and data analysts, leveraging cutting-edge machine learning technologies and managing both structured and unstructured datasets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect, develop, and oversee a sophisticated data and analytics infrastructure on AWS.
  • Utilize infrastructure as code methodologies with tools such as AWS CDK, Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
  • Adhere to AWS architectural standards and best practices.
  • Work in conjunction with data engineers and data scientists to create scalable and resilient data and analytics solutions.
  • Handle incidents and troubleshoot issues efficiently.
  • Participate in the development of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using GitLab CI/CD.
  • Design and manage Docker containers, including the creation and maintenance of container images.
  • Utilize Kubernetes for effective container orchestration.
  • Ensure the security and compliance of various AWS accounts.
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for the platform, including the development of automation scripts and Lambda functions using Python.

Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of core AWS components.
  • Expertise in infrastructure as code using AWS CDK (preferred), Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
  • Proficient in Python for scripting and automation tasks.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong understanding of networking and security protocols within AWS, including integration with on-premises networks.
  • Experience with CI/CD processes, particularly with GitLab CI/CD.
  • Basic understanding of configuration management using Ansible.
  • Extensive experience with AWS, including architectural principles and best practices.
  • Multi-cloud experience is advantageous, but significant AWS experience is essential.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline is required; a master's degree is a plus.
  • AWS certifications are beneficial.
  • Familiarity with the financial services sector is a plus but not mandatory.
