We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiographer to join our team at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust. As a Radiographer - CT/MRI Specialist, you will be responsible for carrying out specialized radiographic imaging to a high standard and in a professional manner, working to departmental guidelines while being accountable for your own actions.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out specialized diagnostic radiology procedures, maintaining high professional standards of technical competence and ensuring standards of patient care.
- Undertake a full range of imaging procedures, maintaining knowledge and being fully aware of safety aspects and hazards.
- Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all patients, working harmoniously with colleagues of all professions to enhance the working environment.
- Contribute towards the development of services, deputizing for the Site Clinical Lead when necessary, and training of staff and students.
- Communicate effectively with clinical, managerial, administrative, and ancillary staff to ensure a professional and timely service.
- Work over a 7-day working week, rotating between acute departments and Community Diagnostic Centres.
- Proficiency in CT and/or MRI imaging, with a strong understanding of IRMER and IRR99 regulations.
- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload effectively.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and a high level of technical and theoretical skills.
