Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiographer to join our team at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust. As a Radiographer - CT/MRI Specialist, you will be responsible for carrying out specialized radiographic imaging to a high standard and in a professional manner.

Main Responsibilities
  • Carry out radiographic duties on a diverse patient population, ensuring high standards of technical competence and patient care.
  • Acquire CT & MRI examinations in line with IRMER and IRR99 regulations, maintaining knowledge and awareness of safety aspects and hazards.
  • Work harmoniously with colleagues of all professions to enhance the working environment and contribute towards the development of services.
  • Deputise for the Site Clinical Lead when necessary, motivating staff and promoting a high level of morale in the department.
  • Participate in the induction and training of new staff, assistant practitioners, and student radiographers, ensuring staff competency and providing assistance and support as needed.
Requirements
  • Demonstrate high standards of technical skills and enthusiasm for training students.
  • Able to demonstrate a responsible attitude to teamwork, with 2 years' experience in Cross sectional radiography - CT and/or MRI.
  • Demonstrate a high level of patient care, able to cope with the diversity of patients' needs, and a progressive attitude with evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
  • Out of hours work experience and IT skills are essential, with the ability to plan and prioritize workloads.
