Your Role:
As an Information Security Engineer, you will operate at a domain level to ensure that robust security measures are consistently integrated at every phase of the development lifecycle, from initial design through to ongoing support.
You will collaborate with various teams and engage in activities such as story refinement, sprint planning, and retrospectives, fostering a culture of innovation and strategic insight that ensures the bank remains informed about and able to capitalize on the latest advancements in your area of expertise.
Additional Duties Include:
- Assisting in the identification of potential risks and contributing to risk management strategies that align with business goals and customer satisfaction.
- Grasping and applying Agile methodologies while actively seeking opportunities to embed security considerations early in the design process.
- Ensuring that decisions are informed by solid data, return on investment, and value metrics that reflect prudent and intelligent cost management.
- Contributing to your center of excellence (CoE) by sharing insights and best practices with colleagues within the CoE and broader community.
- Building and nurturing relationships with colleagues across the organization and external partners to ensure that decisions are commercially viable and foster long-term value.
Required Skills:
To excel in this position, you should possess knowledge in one or more security disciplines and experience in establishing risk appetites. A background in risk management frameworks is also beneficial.
Essential Qualifications:
- Proficiency in coding.
- Experience in diagnosing security and network issues.
- Familiarity with various security measures such as Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), or Anti-Malware solutions.
- Experience with cloud security configurations, including AWS or Azure.
- Practical experience with Splunk.
