Job Summary

We are seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to lead our small nurture provision and cover PPA across the school as needed. The successful candidate will have experience, motivation, and a skillset to work with our teachers, teaching assistants, leadership team, and other stakeholders to ensure every pupil achieves their full potential. This role is ideal for a positive, energetic, proactive team-player who is flexible and adaptable. The position involves 5 mornings per week with one afternoon for PPA.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the Nurture Provision
  • Support classes by covering teacher absence and leadership release time across the school
  • Meet the academic, developmental, and emotional needs of children
  • Create a safe and stimulating environment to promote learning and inclusion for all children
  • Build and maintain relationships with parents and carers and other childcare professionals/agencies
  • Carry out possible PPA cover teaching for teachers
