About EDF EPR Engineering UK

Established in 2023, EDF EPR Engineering UK (EPR-E) is dedicated to the design and delivery of various nuclear infrastructure projects, including the Hinkley Point C EPR Project and the upcoming Sizewell C Project. Our Technical Directorate is tasked with overseeing the engineering disciplines and technical expertise essential for the successful execution of these projects through collaborative teams.

Your Role as Intellectual Property Lead

In this pivotal position, you will take charge of the implementation of the Intellectual Property Licence Agreement (IPLA) for the Sizewell C Project. Your role will ensure that the agreement operates effectively within both EDF/Edvance entities and the SZC Client.

Compensation and Workplace Culture

We offer a competitive salary ranging from £62,000 to £72,000, complemented by a robust benefits package that includes a company pension scheme and a variety of flexible benefits tailored to your lifestyle. Additionally, there is potential for bonus earnings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate IPLA contract activities with EDF/Edvance entities and the SZC Client.
  • Oversee and evaluate IP requests from stakeholders involved in the SZC Project.
  • Prepare for quarterly IPR Committees to address intellectual property matters.
  • Handle contractual and technical interactions with the SZC Client regarding IP issues.
  • Lead and supervise the categorization of EDF/Edvance deliverables in relation to IPLA.
  • Assist Document Management and IT teams in establishing categorization methodologies.
  • Initiate compliance checks to ensure IPLA requirements are met by the SZC Client.
  • Support other projects, including Hinkley Point C EPR, in the implementation of IPLA contracts.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in the nuclear sector.
  • A solid understanding of EPR design delivery processes.
  • Experience in technical contract management.
  • The ability to navigate multiple interfaces effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills with a proven track record of meeting commitments and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of nuclear engineering design sequences and familiarity with intellectual property issues is advantageous.
