Established in 2023, EDF EPR Engineering UK (EPR-E) is dedicated to the design and delivery of various nuclear infrastructure projects, including systems and equipment contracts for significant projects like Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C. Our integrated teams work collaboratively to support construction and commissioning activities while ensuring the feasibility of design replication.

Role Overview

As the Intellectual Property Lead, you will play a crucial role in the implementation of the Intellectual Property Licence Agreement (IPLA) for the Sizewell C Project. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the effective operation of the IPLA within both EDF/Edvance entities and the SZC Client.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate IPLA contract activities with EDF/Edvance entities and the SZC Client.
  • Oversee and evaluate IP requests from stakeholders involved in the SZC Project.
  • Prepare for quarterly Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Committees to address relevant issues.
  • Handle contractual and technical interfaces with the SZC Client regarding intellectual property matters.
  • Lead and supervise the categorization of EDF/Edvance deliverables in accordance with IPLA.
  • Support Document Management and IT teams in defining categorization methodologies.
  • Establish and initiate compliance checks for IPLA requirements to be fulfilled by the SZC Client.
  • Assist other projects, including Hinkley Point C EPR, with the implementation of IPLA contracts.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in the nuclear sector.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of EPR design delivery processes.
  • Experience in technical contract management.
  • Ability to manage multiple interfaces effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills with a proven track record of meeting commitments and deadlines.
  • Familiarity with nuclear engineering design sequences and intellectual property topics is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from £62,000 to £72,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes a company pension scheme and a variety of flexible benefits tailored to your lifestyle. Additionally, there are opportunities for performance-related bonuses.
