Job Summary:

NYKays Ltd is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support children with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) in a school setting. As a key member of the educational team, you will provide individualized support to students with complex needs, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to students with PMLD and Special Educational Needs (SEN), adapting to their unique needs and requirements.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement personalized learning plans, ensuring students receive the best possible education.
  • Assist with personal care tasks, such as toileting, feeding, and mobility, while maintaining a safe and respectful environment.
  • Work effectively with other teaching and support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.
  • Adhere to school policies, including Safeguarding, Child Protection, Behaviour Management, and Health and Safety.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with PMLD and SEN, with a proven track record of providing individualized support.
  • Ability to manage challenging behavior and adapt to changing situations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and other support staff.
  • Commitment to working with children with special educational needs and a passion for promoting their development.
  • Dependability, punctuality, and a hardworking attitude.
