Overview
Operations serve as the core of Amazon's functionality. This essential segment of our organization ensures that we efficiently fulfill and dispatch orders, guaranteeing timely delivery of items to our customers. It is led by Operations Supervisors who unite the team to drive excellence in safety, quality, and productivity across our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and nurture a team of Area Supervisors.
  • Guide operational teams during shifts, address challenges, and positively influence site performance.

  • Evaluate shift performance against pertinent business goals and implement strategies to enhance operational excellence.

  • Collaborate closely with various support teams, including Human Resources, Finance, Health and Safety, and Security.

  • Develop and execute initiatives across the facilities to boost operational performance.

A Day in the Life
In this role, you will lead shifts at one of our operational facilities. You will act as a crucial link between multiple teams, including finance, safety, and operations integration. This means you will be engaged with the daily operations at your site while also contributing to innovative strategies for improvement.

A typical day will include meetings with different business areas, in-depth analysis of performance and risk metrics, and proactive planning for varying demand levels. Additionally, you will spend time mentoring and coaching your team, providing leadership and support to help them excel in their managerial roles.

About the Team
Amazon's success relies heavily on the Amazon Transportation Service (ATS) team. As a member of ATS, you will join a diverse group that plays a pivotal role in our operations. Utilizing air, sea, and road transport, along with state-of-the-art sortation facilities, you will help ensure that Amazon's transportation runs at peak efficiency. Our team collects data and leverages it to inform decision-making, driving innovation and efficiency within Amazon.

Basic Qualifications
  • A degree.
  • Relevant experience in managing people and stakeholders.
  • Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English, with intermediate proficiency in the local language.

  • Experience in utilizing data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions.

  • Relevant experience in key aspects of production and supply chains.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies.
  • Experience in a similar logistics environment.
  • Proficiency in the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional context.
